We have exciting plans to preserve and expand Fairlop Waters by adding 250 acres to the park in the coming years. Working with the community, we want to create an inspiring vision for Fairlop Waters.

Throughout 2020, our parks and green spaces became even more valuable for our health and wellbeing, providing us with essential spaces to relax, explore, and discover. The Council are working with community engagement specialist to engage with residents, businesses and organisations. We want to find out what extra leisure, cultural and environmental facilities local people would like to see in Fairlop Waters.

We invite you to explore this page and contribute your thoughts and ideas through the interactive features below. Please get involved and help to shape the future of Fairlop Waters!

Additional ideas

about 3 years

During the past months, we have already collected a number of ideas suggested by people in the local community for events, initiatives and small-scale infrastructure. These have included history walks, sculpture trails, food markets, an inclusive playground, wild swimming and wellbeing initiatives. All these ideas will be part of the documentation that the appointed masterplan consultant will have to take into consideration, especially those with a long-term nature such as the wild swimming proposal.

However, the Council believes there is an opportunity to focus the attention on community projects that could be implemented in the next months to test some ideas for the future of Fairlop.

Please use drop a pin on the map below to suggest your idea for early improvements or projects for Fairlop Waters.
